The popular dystopian series The Handmaid’s Tale, or Orjattaresi in Finnish, will be continued again. The fifth production season continues on Hulu on September 14, and will be released in Finland later in the fall.

Based on Margaret Atwood’s novel of the same name, the series follows June Osborne’s journey in dystopian America. In the coming era, moral questions will become more and more complex.

June, who escaped from religious Gilead in the fifth season, continues her cycle of revenge, which she has started in previous seasons of the series. He comes face to face with Serena Waterford after brutally killing her mate along with the other slave girls.

Both women have their own secrets, dark goals and the will to destroy the other, who has deprived them of happiness and the right to their own child.

– When Fred is out of the way, it doesn’t take long for June to realize that she’s done something that feels really good. However, he may not have gotten rid of the most dangerous of all first, the creator of the series Bruce Miller reveals about the upcoming season.

If you don’t see the trailer, you can watch it from here.

Previously

In the first season, June is kidnapped and enslaved by the Waterfords. She is named Offred after the head of the family, Fred. That’s where June’s nightmare begins, along with the other women kidnapped to Gilead.

Stubborn June is not satisfied with her fate, but plans to change everything. During the previous seasons, she begins to ally with the other slave girls of Gilead and after many stages ignites a rebellion.

In the end, he manages to rescue the kidnapped children to neutral Canada with the slave girls. He also gets to go back there himself and meets his spouse Luke years after the kidnapping. At the same time, they try to find their kidnapped daughter in Gilead.

In the fourth season, June’s adaptation to “normal” is not easy, but the spirit of rebellion awakens again. He wants revenge on the Waterfords and the other members of Gilead for the wrongs they have done.

The fourth season ends with June saying goodbye to her husband Luke and her second daughter, who was born in Gilead, as she sets off on a journey of revenge. Together with the other former slave girls, she brutally kills Commander Fred Waterford, the reputed leader of Gilead.

This is how he causes pain to Serena, who has caused June the most trouble. The new season continues from a situation where women are at their limits.

The upcoming season is a mental duel between June (Elisabeth Moss) and Serena (Yvonne Strahovski) as they try to get the other out of the way of their plans and children. RUBA
