Roger and Bradley Stockton, father and son, died in Isle of Man TT time on Friday after driving out of the race track with their sidecar. The tragic case has been confirmed by the organizers of the race, the Guardian reports.

Roger Stockton, 56, was a CT racing veteran as he competed 11 times. Bradley, 21, was involved for the second time.

Earlier this year, Roger said he had given up on the idea of participating, but the opportunity to get in the same carriage with his son made him reverse his decision.

“Going around the track with a family member is going to be something amazing,” Dad said.

The accident of a father-son couple from Crewe, England, raised the death toll from this year’s competition to five. The fatal expulsion took place on the closing day of the event, which lasted less than two weeks. At the same point on the track, a Frenchman lost his life on June 4th César Chanal.

The Isle of Man’s TT runs have been gassed for more than a hundred years. Its fascination is due in part to the danger, as there are virtually every year there are fatal outings.
