Janna Paasonen was involved in the Pink Ribbon charity episode of the Dancing with the Stars program. He tells a story about how his little Jonas-his son died of cancer as a child.
Joonas was found to have a malignant tumor in his kidneys, which had metastasized to both lungs.
– There is life before that news and after that news. Everything collapsed then, says Paasonen.
After the death of his child, Paasonen woke up at night with a song playing in his head. He understood that it was his own song for Jonas.
– I went to the piano and that’s when the first song was born.
Songs started to emerge slowly and this Sunday we will dance to one of them live. Paasonen collaborated with TTK’s pianist Matti Paatelma.
– The next song is Janna’s own handwriting and it is dedicated to her first-born son and brother – Joonas, Vappu Pimiä says with tears in her eyes.
