Raoul Bova and the protagonists of the series The Fantastic 5 they return for the last episodetonight at 9.35pm on Channel 5. In the final two episodes, conclusions are drawn: the European championships are upon us, but the Nova Lux athletes are not in top form. The personal events of each one have an influence, and a twist arrives that alters the balance.
The Fantastic 5the plot of the fourth episode
Riccardo Bramanti (Raoul Bova) perceives the general bad mood and looks for a solution to lift spirits. He asks Christian (Vittorio Magazzù), a sailing expert, for help to involve the team in a day of sea alone. It is an expedient to unite the group and remind everyone that “we only move forward together”.
On a personal level, then, he has to deal with his relationship with Alessandra (Gaia Messerklinger). Despite a rosy start, the relationship becomes tense. The physiotherapist wants to clarify things within herself and pushes him away, but who knows, maybe the coach will find a way to break down her defenses.
Soon things get complicated, because what happened with Laura (Chiara Bordi) has important repercussions. In the previous episode, disappointed by the outcome of the trial against the boy who caused the accident following which she lost a leg, she scratches his car. When the boy shows up at the center a fight breaks out, at the end of which Riccardo punches him. The attack is caught on camera and the video reaches Sofia Calabresi (Francesca Cavallin).
Riccardo is removed from Nova Lux
The president of the company has no choice but to remove Riccardo. Furthermore, he is under pressure from the board of directors due to the not yet excellent results obtained by Bramanti, This is how Alessandro Reali comes into play (Riccardo Leonelli), sprinters coach contacted by you previously, who offers to take Riccardo’s place.
The athletes don’t take the news well, but the European Championships are in sight and they find themselves having to make a choice: demonstrate solidarity with Riccardo or still try to race towards victory?
There is also room for Marcia (Fiorenza D’Antonio), yes introduces himself to the tennis court where his sister Amelia trains (Benedetta Tiberi) and tries to protect her from her father Fernando (Stefano Pesce): a violent man interested only in victory, not in the good of his daughters.
In the end, Georgie (Rachele Luschi) discovers the truth about Alice (Lucia Ceracchi), Elia’s biological mother (Enea Barozzi), and does everything he can to warn the boy. But he also understands that he feels something towards her, feeling guilty towards her sister Anna (Giulia Patrignani), who is going through a difficult time and is also interested in Elia. How can I avoid hurting her? Given this rather complex picture, will the Nova Lux athletes be able to triumph at the European Championships?
The Fantastic 5disability told without rhetoric
The Fantastic 5 is a series that talks about disability as an opportunity and not as an obstacle. Good feelings triumph and the goal is inclusion, but without rhetoric. In a historical moment in which adolescents are described under different facets (SKAM Italy, Prism, Sea outside), a series – the first – on athletes with disabilities was missing in the Italian panorama.
Other topics are also addressed during the episodes. Among all, the relationship between parents and children. Dysfunctional families, parents caught up in their own expectations rather than their children’s desires, important absences to deal with. Then there are the difficulties to metabolize, accept and overcome in order to grow. Riccardo is helping the boys in this growth journey. The arrival of the coach represents a new page. It is he who gives them courage, who explains that problems must be faced and that the burden, if shared, is lighter.
In terms of ratings, the series debuted with 3,015,000 viewers, equal to a 17.05% share. A good result for Canale 5, summarized as follows by director Giancarlo Scheri: «Con The Fantastic 5 the Mediaset flagship combines the serial story with a message of positivity and inclusion. Important themes, interpreted with wisdom, where Raoul Bova and the entire cast shine with the energy they convey.”
