The exhibitions not to be missed in Milan, Biella, Turin and Varese

TOndy Warhol. Form advertisingis (after the Padua exhibition) a new powerful tribute to the genius of American pop art, « the Raphael of American mass society who gives surface to every depth of the image making it immediately usable, ready for consumption» as defined by Achille Bonito Oliva, curator of the event.

More than 300 works – many unique works, in 7 thematic areas and 13 sections – covering the period from the 50s to the end of the 80s between canvases, serigraphs on paper, silk and cotton, drawings, photos, original vinyl and objects. All with soundtrack by the Rolling Stones.

Light installations in Turin

In parallel with In your time (in Florence, until 22 January at Palazzo Strozzi) Olafur Eliasson: Trembling Horizonsis the new appointment with the artist.

He has created six installations which, thanks to optical devices, envelop the visitor in a play of light and colourful, fluid and evanescent shapes.

Photography in Biella

Three sections (The portrait, The self-portrait and The selfie) mark the path of Face, soul of the body. Exhibition (open only on Saturdays and Sundays, from 10 to 19) that investigates how photography has changed – making it popular – the use of the portrait: official, stolen, mirror of social phenomena, tool to tell a story through a look, an expression, a context.

46 works by 10 different artists are exhibited, part of the corpus of 108 pieces, belonging to the private collection of the Panza family, which were recently donated to the Villa preserved by Fai. Among these, the works of Piero Fogliati, Christiane Löhr, Richard Long, Hamish Fulton, Sonia Costantini, Barry X Ball, Lawrence Carroll.
