The acceptance by an investigative court in Madrid of the complaint filed by the former president of Barça Sandro Rosell for the ‘Catalonia operation headed by former Commissioner José Manuel Villarejo It has triggered political leaders and businessmen to make a move and study the possibility of taking similar legal actions. One of them is the ‘ex-minister’ Jaume Girò. His lawyer Jordi Pina is finalizing the lawsuit that he is expected to present next Monday in the courts of the Spanish capital, after the prosecution did not pursue the complaint that he had filed for the same reason in June last.
This complaint was directed against the former commissioner and the former leader of the Catalan PP Alicia Sánchez-Camacho as a result of the audios published about ‘Operation Catalonia’ in which the policy asks the police to investigate Giró, who then directed the La Caixa Foundation. He attributed to them the crimes of revealing a secret by a public official, embezzlement (presumably money and public personnel were used) and criminal organization (they consider that there was a “concert” of various political officials and police commanders). Given the lack of response and endorsed by the judicial reaction in the case of Sandro Rosell, the ‘ex-minister’ has decided to present the complaint in court.
This waterfall will not end here.
