The ex-hockey player crashed at a speed of more than 160 kilometers per hour

The police fined Sasu Hov for endangering traffic safety.

According to the punishment order confirmed by the Prosecutor’s Office, the police wrote to the former hockey player Sasu Hov41, fines for endangering traffic safety.

At the beginning of September, Hovi was driving on the Lempäälä motorway at a speed of 161 kilometers per hour, when the speed limit was 120 kilometers per hour. So the speed limit was 41 kilometers per hour.

According to the penalty order, the traffic was quite busy at the time of the incident.

The speeding was recorded on the police radar. The actions of Hov, who was alone in the car, were deemed to have caused a danger to the safety of another.

The police wrote Hov a 22-day fine for endangering traffic safety, which made his income 726 euros. A crime victim fee of 40 euros was added.

Hovi currently works as a talent scout for the NHL club Seattle Kraken. In his career, the goalkeeper won the Slovakian championship twice, Czech league silver and SM league silver.

In Finland, Hovi represented Tappara, Hermes, KooKoo, Pelicans, Kiekko-Vantaa and Hokki.
