Nordic Live Productions Oy has not paid gig fees to the Nightwish band, reports Vasabladet.

Vasabladet says that Tommi Mäken led by Nordic Live Productions Oy did not pay the fees for the concerts held in June to Nightwish.

The gigs were organized in Kitee and Vaasa. The sold-out concerts gathered as many as 21,500 spectators.

Band manager Toni Peiju tells Vasabladet that it is a six-figure sum that has not been received. Also the drummer for Nightwish Kai Hahto opens his mouth in the magazine. According to him, the band is working on its new album, which will increase the band’s expenses.

– Every euro is needed, Hahto tells the newspaper.

The event company tells Vasabladet its own view. They say they have a payment plan with Nightwish.

The Nordic Live Productions company has been in the news headlines several times over the past year. Iltalehti reported in June that no less than two artists had to be canceled from Kokkola’s wine party, which is one of the event company’s events.

Festival director of the Kokkola wine festival Ari Myllyniemi justified the decisions made by, among other things, that after the corona pandemic, the costs of organizing festivals have increased, but the ability of consumers to pay has not increased. Ticket sales for the event were at such a level that, according to Myllyniemi, costs had to be cut.
