The crooked forest seems to have no explanation
On the outskirts of Gryfino, in Poland, there is an enigmatic forest in which the trees grow completely crooked. Its uniqueness is such that it has been recognized as a natural monument and in your country this phenomenon is known as Krzywy Las.
The truly enigmatic thing is that all the trees in this forest are crooked in exactly the same way: in an angle close to 90 degrees and always facing north. There are various theses about its origin, but it is clear that it seems that the grove has come out of a fantasy book. The trees are not very old, they were planted near the year 1934 by the local population, who pruned it so that it would always grow with these curves. Curved trees are highly valued in carpentry, as they allow certain things to be done with their wood that conventional trees cannot.
It is not the only existing theory. Another talks about the German tanks during the invasion of Poland, which caused this deformation in the pines, while others argue that they were pruned too soon and that is why they present this deformity. In any case, it is clear that it looks like the work of a fairy tale.
