Football HIFK has run out of money, again. The club started looking for a solution with a share issue launched in July, the minimum goal of which was a pot of 300,000 euros.
The board of HIFK Fotboll ab has recently approached the shareholders with a letter with a gloomy tone: “If new funding is not received in early November, the club’s representative team will not have the conditions to continue its activities.”
In the letter, it is stated that the need for money is 300,000 euros to be targeted with the donation. At the moment, the offer is “around 220,000 euros”.
Fifa’s decision mentions the coach as one factor that burdens the economy For Fabrizio Piccareta paid compensation of $96,000. HIFK previously announced that it would appeal the decision to CAS, but the letter states that “expensive processing fees” could not be afforded in the end.
The letter has been signed by the board of HIFK Fotboll ab. Iltalehti has not reached the club’s management to comment on the situation.
This season, HIFK finished sixth, i.e. last, in the upper final series of Ykkönen.
