The end is almost in sight for Matthieu Bonne
Day five and the central theme remains the wind! Today a variation on the course of the past few days with a loop where Matthieu finishes a section of motorway. He does that because there is better asphalt and that way Bonne can outwit the headwind. A shorter stretch of motorway with side wind to be able to cycle a longer stretch with the wind.
The challenges also become more diverse on day five: eating becomes more difficult and everything really starts to hurt now. Also today it is cycling until 11:59 pm to be able to sleep from 0:30 am to 3:00 am. On day five, Matthieu Bonne covered 501 km at an average speed of 27.2 km/h.
The weather looks better tomorrow, ideal for the last 48 hours.
