The recommended retail price of regular petrol is above 2.50 euros for the first time on Thursday. The sky-high prices are making more and more Dutch people decide to leave their car at home more often, note gas station owners club Beta and the ANWB. In the meantime, motorists in the border region are moving abroad en masse.
