Gold and platinum records will soon be available for purchase at an auction and the proceeds will be donated.
The album GERÄUSCH by Die Ärzte will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024 and Bela B, Farin Urlaub and Rodrigo González have thought of something very special. The three have received several awards for their record in the form of gold and platinum records, which they will auction in 2024. They donate the proceeds to two organizations that support women in need.
Award auction to protect women
Bela B writes about the auction on the band’s website: “Winter has already begun and is once again hitting people without a home particularly hard. Women are even more vulnerable to life on the streets, which is why the donations go to two projects that can offer shelter and warmth to homeless women. You can really do a lot in winter. Anyone who would like to donate something (donations in kind and/or money) is guaranteed to find organizations in their personal area, such as the numerous Tafeln.eV or similar.”
From March 11th to 21st, 2024 here Bids are submitted. The income goes equally “Container project for homeless women in Hamburg” and “Emergency overnight stay for women – GEBEWO pro / Berlin”.
New vinyl for the anniversary
The doctors are also celebrating the GERÄUSCH anniversary with a vinyl reissue of the sound recording. The album by the “best band in the world” will be released on March 22, 2024 exclusively as a double vinyl including download. The record is available from January 18th can be pre-ordered.

The doctors will be live in Berlin three times in August 2024
Under the title “OMG die Ärzte LOL (with horses and dogs)”, Die Ärzte had already announced two shows in Berlin-Tempelhof for August 23rd and 24th, 2024. These sold out quickly. Now there is another concert – on August 25th Farin, Bela and Rod will perform again at Tempelhofer Feld. Social tickets can also be purchased from 19.90 euros. Advance sales for the August 25th show begin on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023 at ten a.m. The tickets are available here.
