Scams have been reported, for example, on Omavero and Omakanna services. Recently, there have been many reports of victims of online scams who have used the Finnish authorities’ online services. The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency’s Cyber Security Center of Traficom has warned about this. The scams take place with the help of Google ads. In the cases, the victim applying for the agency’s online services clicks on an advertisement disguised as an official link. The link redirects to a legitimate-looking site, which is actually a scam site. At least the Omavero and Omakanta websites have been made into fake versions that look real.
