This year, demining service DOVO had to intervene 41 times in bomb attacks with grenades, explosives or other explosives. That’s about one attack every two days, and almost half of all calls from last year, when they had 86. A deminer tells about the interventions in Antwerp: “When people see a lot of damage there, they quickly think it was an ‘I-don’t-know-how-powerful-something’, but an explosion is not just about the size. ”
