Various sources of meeting center De Rietschoot in Koedijk confirm this to NH News. The man was most likely dead in the house for two months and, according to the police, died of natural causes. The outrage in the neighborhood is great. “That this can happen here in Koedijk,” says a local resident in the meeting center.
A source, who works at the meeting center De Rietschoot, was shocked by the way in which the news of the death was brought out through various social media channels. “I was one of the few people who had contact with him through my work. The man hadn’t opened his door for about two weeks.”
He wants to speak to NH Nieuws today to clarify the speculations that appeared on social media channels and the reactions that followed. “My contact with the man was not intensive, but I spoke to him several times. After that, other contact persons were appointed and the deceased man received the help he needed.”
