The time of the match is marked as December 16. UFC has yet to confirm the bout.
McGregor hasn’t fought in the UFC in over two years. The last time he competed was in July 2021, when he lost For Dustin Poirier. After the loss, he took a long sick leave due to a leg injury.
McGregor’s UFC return has been delayed because he had not signed up for the US anti-doping agency USADA’s testing program. McGregor’s latest doping tests are from 2021.
It is also not yet certain that McGregor has registered with USADA. He must be part of the testing program for at least six months before the match.
The UFC announced McGregor’s fight against Chandler last February. McGregor is a former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion.
