Carla Bisirri is 21, Teresa Napoleoni 23. Carla is a hairdresser, Teresa is employed as a secretary in a shoe shop in the city center. Maybe they know each other by sight, after all San Benedetto is a big town and everyone knows each other; or maybe not, they don’t know that the same bad fate is watching them. They enter the Ballarin stadium with other friends immediately after lunch, there is still a long way to go, the kick-off is set for 5pm, but that’s how it was used in those days.
