The largest and most important fashion gala in New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art got the stars and the fashion crowd to put on their best.

The theme of the annual fashion gala this year was “In America: An Anthology of Fashion.” Freely translated, this means: In America: Collected Works of Fashion.
The stars had taken the theme seriously and the MET gala was achieved in the most amazing creations. Media personality Kim Kardashian was represented at the event by the late actress, Marilyn Monroe, in an iconic evening gown.
One color above the others was pink. Pink is one of the absolute fashion colors of the season, and Valentino’s pink in particular was well represented.

Actor Glenn Closen the outfit was one of the most spectacular of the evening. The cloak worn over the pants and shirt made the outfit a real eye-catcher. The whole of the star was thought through to the end, even his bags and shoes were shade to shade with the outfit. Only the stunning Floral Patterns in the cape are a darker pink, a charming detail for an otherwise brilliant creation. The suit is designed by Valentino, a fashion house.
