The leader of En Comú Podem said it in Parliament, Jessica Albiahin the interview with EL PERIÓDICO: “The budgets of the Government of ERC they can’t be the same than those of ERC and Junts”. And it is under this premise that the ‘comuns’ will face a negotiation in which they are willing to increase their support. First, because the Republican vote is not tied to the State’s accounts. And, second, because they consider that with Junts out of the Executiu it is time to make a turn to the left visible. Pere Aragones open the melon fiscalsomething that the ‘president’ did not initially foresee beyond incorporating the new tax on cruise ships.
“If you want to have En Comú Podem, a change of direction to the left and generosity is necessary”, claimed this Monday the spokesman for the formation, Joan Menawho has warned that his party has a proposal for “fair and progressive” taxation which they will not give up now that they understand that ERC should not have the brake of Junts to address it. The petition places ERC between a rock and a hard placesince the republicans want to have the support of Albiach and that of the post-convergents, who precisely ask for the opposite of the ‘comuns’, that is, lower taxes.
After the meeting that Albiach held on Friday with Aragonès -it was the first in the round of contacts that the ‘president’ will continue this week-, the ‘comuns’ reiterate that “there are no conditions” for weave a stable alliance with the government. Mena has admitted that there was no such proposal by the Executiu neither to them nor to any other party, with which they consider that at the moment Catalonia is “blocked” by the “absolute minority” of the Republicans in the Generalitat. Who they do reach out to, lamented the spokesman for the ‘comuns’, is Junts despite having left the Government.

“Junts has closed the door on them but Aragonès continues to reach out to them”, he warned, digging again into the ERC’s intention to put on the table the same budgets elaborated by Giró instead of presenting some that respond to that of a Government only of ERC. The diagnosis made by the ‘comuns’ is that the ‘president’ does not currently have a “different” course that of Junts and that ERC does not assume that Catalonia has entered a new stage that requires left-wing projects. “We predict a very short legislature for Aragonès”, said Mena bluntly.
Over the State’s general budgetsthe ‘commons’ make the ERC ugly by linking them to the evolution of the dialogue table, since they consider that they are negotiations that must go through “in parallel” and not be subject to one another. This Friday is the deadline to present the amendments to the entire and they assume that, from the outset, the Republicans will present it with the intention of continuing to negotiate, as they have done on previous occasions.
