The Comuns ask to be at the dialogue table if Aragonès opens it to the parties

The leader of En Comú Podem in the Parliament, Jessica Albiachhas demanded this Friday that the Comuns be on the Catalan side of the negotiation table between the State and the Government if the president of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonesopens the door for parties to participate.

In an interview in SER Catalunya, Albiach asked Aragonès to explain what intentions you have with the negotiation tableafter last week inviting the other pro-independence parties, Junts and the CUP, to join it.

“If (the negotiation table) is opened and it is not only between governments, it would be necessary for not only the pro-independence parties to be present, but also for the different parties of the transversal catalanism“, he defended.

In this regard, he urged Aragonès to clarify his proposal, beyond “launching probe balloons”: “If there are changes and we begin a new stage and this dialogue table is presented in a different way, it would be good for the president to call us and will explain it.”

The day after knowing the date of the first meeting after the investiture between the President of the Government, Pedro Sanchezand that of the Generalitat, Pere AragonesAlbiach has pointed out that The meeting is “good news” because “collaboration is necessary.”

Regarding the proposals of the commons for the negotiation table that should be launched after the meeting of presidents, Albiach has defended his commitment to an “asymmetric plurinational federalism” and has considered that “a first step” would be national recognition of Catalonia.

“Our horizon is that Catalans end up voting to fit in with the State. But until this happens we cannot sit idly by and we need progress, the national recognition of Catalonia is one of the first steps we could take,” said the leader of the commons, who has also defended “unique” financing for Catalonia.
