Patrik Laine two goals did not help the Columbus Blue Jackets, as the Buffalo Sabers went to rob the point pot in the NHL round of the night. The show was stolen by the Buffalo forward, who was reserved for the Buck League in the same year as Laine Tage Thompson.

The Sabers beat the Blue Jackets in the first period. The buffalo scored four goals in less than eight minutes. After the third goal Joonas Korpisalo got off the mark.

After the first set, the game was no less than 6–0. Then Thompson had four goals and one assist.

In the second set, the home team was able to embellish the readings under the leadership of Laine. “Tesoma’s cannon” wrist shot surprised the B-point from the arc Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

The last four minutes of the period showed the volatility of the Blue Jackets. The Sabers scored three goals, one of which was Thompson’s Fifth goal of the night.

Laine’s shot missed Luukkonen for the second time in the final set. However, the final scores were brutal 9–4 for the visiting team. Korpisalo came to the goal again for the last 20 minutes, keeping a clean sheet.

The Sabres’ number one offensive trio scored a total of 14 points. Korpisalo blocked six out of nine shots. Despite the victory, Luukkonen’s save percentage dropped to only 83 percent.

– We were miserable the whole game. You can probably see it yourself on the scoreboard. They are just playing with us. It’s from deep, Laine said after the game in the interview.
