More than 300,000 euros in jewelry that had been stolen from homes and sold in stores. This is the balance of the operation “Neteja” that has been developing the Civil Guard of Valenciaas a result of two complaintsin which a woman who stole them from the houses where she did housework, located in various municipalities of l’Horta, has been arrested.

The operation began last May when The Civil Guard received a complaint of an elderly resident of Massanassa, who stated that several pieces of gold had been stolen from her home and jewelry. The complainant also stated that one of the people who had access to her jewelry was a woman who worked for her doing housework.

In the middle of last June, the daughter of the complainant, also a resident of Massanassa, informed the Civil Guard that she had noticed that jewels were also missing from her home, coinciding that the same woman who did housework for her mother also did it at home. This woman had stopped working at both addresses six months ago.

Fruit of the investigations, the agents located 30 lots of jewelry that the author sold in stores dedicated to this type of activity for a value of more than 300,000 euros. The injured identified the jewelry and gold pieces as their property.

Finally, the Civil Guard of Valencia arrested a woman in Alfafar, who lived in Beniparrell, 53 years old and of Spanish nationality for two crimes of continuous theft. The proceedings have been delivered to the Court of First Instance and Instruction Number 3 of Catarroja.
