In the Alkmaar region, too, the BoerBurgerBeweging (BBB) came first in the provisional results of the parliamentary elections. Where the tone was previously set by the VVD, they will have to settle for a (narrow) second place. Only in Heiloo are the liberals traditionally the largest party.
The provisional results of three of the five municipalities in the region are now known.
In Alkmaar, BBB gets almost 15 percent (14.9%) of the vote out of nowhere. Striking for the largest city in North Holland North. This may be due to the inhabitants of the former municipalities of Schermer and Graft-De Rijp, which now belong to Alkmaar.
VVD and GroenLinks remain second and third party, with the latter party losing a lot. JA21 and Party for the Animals (PvdD) are winning in Alkmaar.
BBBergen
In prosperous Bergen, the VVD is also dethroned. For the time being, BBB comes out at over 16 percent of the vote (16.6%), closely followed by the VVD (15.3%). BBB’s profit may be due to the voting behavior of the inhabitants in the more agricultural villages of Schoorl and Egmonden.
The Party for the Animals is also growing slightly and is becoming larger than CDA and D66, possibly due to the resistance to the tree felling in Schoorl and Bergen aan Zee. PvdD is an opponent of this, just like the BBB. GroenLinks is also against this, but is still losing ground. And in Bergen, JA21 also wins big, but the PvdA is also winning.
Heiloo
Voting behavior in Heiloo is more in line with four years ago. Although the BBB wins considerably (11.4%), the VVD remains the largest despite the loss of more than 2 percent (16.8%). With a one percent profit, the PvdA currently shares second and third place with BBB. After Forum, GroenLinks is the biggest loser here. JA21, Volt and PvdD are winning in Heiloo.
As soon as the results of the municipalities of Dijk en Waard and Castricum are in, this message will be supplemented.
