Within the framework of Pla Endreça, 221 pneumatic collection mailboxes that are in poor condition due to the corrosion of their materials have begun to be replaced in the Ciutat Vella district. They have a vertical opening with a round handle and a pedal to open them, and additional protection has been applied to prevent corrosion of their materials and rust. All the bins in the district will be changed and the models will be standardized to increase waste collection by 8%. So, In total, 1,504 litter bins will be renewed with two models: some bins with a capacity of 70 liters and others with a larger capacity, 220 liters, in places with more activity in public spaces.
