The Catalan PP look at Andalusia and follows in the footsteps of its regional president, Juanma Moreno. All of these, understanding that they have a “negative impact on economic activity and the increase in the cost of goods and services.”

In Tuesday’s debate, the leader of the Catalan PP, Alexander Fernandez, defended the generalized tax cut seeing it as “positive” for “growth, innovation and the economy of Catalonia”. “Crises enrich governments and impoverish citizens. This is the right time to cut taxes,” she snapped. The president’ Pere Aragones closed the door to tweak Catalan tax policy and attacked the “wild game” of the popular barons, although Junts approved in its congress that it would bet on studying the abolition of the wealth tax, although it is not expected to be a reason for a face-to-face brawl to the budget negotiation.
This maneuver coincides with the pulse of the PP with the Government, since several autonomies in the hands of the popular have begun to act in the direction of subsidizing all or, at least, a part (such as Galicia and Murcia) the wealth tax, thus waging the battle against the Government with an eye on the elections of May 2023.
