The castle’s henchmen became a social phenomenon

Handymen, i.e. President Niinistö’s adjutants, cheered on social media.

An exceptional practice was seen at the castle’s celebrations this year, when the presidential couple took a few-second breaks to disinfect their hands between shaking hands.

The presidential couple periodically turned to the adjutants standing behind them, who sprayed disinfectant on the presidential couple’s palms.

The adjutants, the “hand-hand men” who distributed the disinfectant, drove the audience following the Linna’s party wild on social media. The happy expressions of the adjutants especially amused the people.

– The absolute bright spot this year at the #castle festival are the adjutants, i.e. hand-made vehicles. Always a smile and a little twinkle in the corner of the eye, rejoices someone on Twitter.

– Those giggling handymen are sometimes the highlight of the day, says another.

– The best thing right now: the hand sanitizer adjutants who ski (love them!), are glowing on social media.

– Such important information has not been heard, that these press adjutants are single, one inquires on Twitter.

President Niinistö stated earlier that the handshakes in the castle had to be thought through a lot.

– In my opinion, in medicine, it has been concluded that the particles moving through the respiratory air are the most infectious. We have reached the arrangement that we are ready to shake hands. If one of the guests wants to acknowledge the greeting with just a nod, that is just as polite, Niinistö told the press conference.
