Jesse Puljujärvi starts a new phase in the Carolina Hurricanes.

Traded to the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday Jesse Puljujärvi has traveled with his new team on an away game trip to Vegas. It is not yet known if the new face will play against the Golden Knights next night, but at least the game number is confirmed.
The Hurricanes let Puljujärvi keep his number 13. The Smiling Bison King has been wearing it in the NHL since the 2021-2022 season.
The selection of the game number has not always been right in Puljujärvi. At the beginning of his NHL career, Puljujärvi received criticism in the Canadian media when he wore the number 98 according to his year of birth. 98 is on Edmonton’s list of unofficially banned numbers for being too close Wayne Gretzky used by details.
Canes describes Puljujärvi’s current number as bringing good luck. Followers of the team commented on social media that the new black and red jersey suits Puljujärvi really well.

Puljujärvi was traded to Carolina from Edmonton in a trade Patrik Puistolan to the NHL rights.
