“There is no politician in Wetstraat as shrewd as ACV chairman Marc Leemans,” writes political journalist Astrid Roelandt. “Without batting an eyelid, he distorts and denies what he and the ACV previously said about his controversial dismissal, only to pretend that no one has ever asked him about it. There is no politician as shrewd as Marc Leemans. If he were a minister and if this were in parliament, he would have been there. But in the Christian pillar apparently lying is not a sin.”
