The Cardigans will come to Germany for a gig in 2024 – on June 22nd in Mannheim as part of the Maifeld Derby Festival. Tickets are Available here from October 21st at ten o’clock.
The Swedish indie pop band hasn’t released any new music for 18 years now. It is still unknown whether they will bring new material to next year’s show or whether they will just perform past hits since their founding in 1992.
Between 1994 and 2005, The Cardigans released six albums, including the breakthrough record FIRST BAND ON THE MOON (1996) and its follow-up, GRAN TURISMO (1998). They took a break between 2007 and 2011. No new music has been released since then; their still current record SUPER EXTRA GRAVITY dates from 2005.
Nina Persson herself has released three solo albums so far: one each under the name A Camp in 2001 and 2009, followed by ANIMAL HEART under her own name in 2014 and THE GREAT WHITE SEA EAGLE with James Yorkston in 2023.
