The Cap Roig festival closes with 93% occupancy

More than 43,200 viewers have spent this summer Cap Roig Festivalwhich since July 22 has hosted in the privileged setting of Calella de Palafrugell a total of 19 performances of international and national stars, including those of Sting, Sebastian Yatra, Mike either Rigoberta Bandini, who closed the summer date tonight with his concert with hits like ‘Ay mama’ or ‘Let’s see what happens’. With a 93% occupancy rate and the sold out tickets at 11 of the concerts, Cap Roig has taken stock of its 22nd edition, which has also seen artists such as Christina Aguilera, Stay Homas, Pablo Alborán, Miki Núñez, Els Pets, Taburete, Raphael, Rosario, Sergio Dalma, Camilo, Dani Martín, Joan Dausà and Morat.

The festival has also hosted family shows (Xiula and Bye Bye Monstre) in the framework of the Cap Roig Mini, which began in 2013 with the aim of offering children’s and family programming. This year there has also been a solidarity night: part of the collection of the show of sergio dalma It will go to a project of the Vimar Foundation, an entity that works to improve the quality of life of people with functional diversity or mental illness in the Baix Empordà region.

The director of the Cap Roig festival, Juli Guiu, also president of the Clipper’s Group, which organizes the event with the support of CaixaBank, has shown “very satisfied to once again see the great reception and confidence on the part of an audience that, year after year, supports the different artistic proposals of such an eclectic and varied festival” and has described as “resounding success of assistance”, with figures similar to those of the pre-pandemic 2019 (when 43,400 spectators were reached in 25 performances, of which 11 also sold out, and 86.7% occupancy).

For her part, Maria Lluïsa Martínez Gistau, Director of Communication and Institutional Relations at CaixaBank, added that the festival “has a very positive impact on the revitalization of the territory’s economy, on cultural activity and on the generation of new opportunities.”
