The young ‘cantaora’ Thais Hernández died this Tuesday, December 26, at the age of 35. Born in Sant Boi de Llobregat and raised in Castelldefels, she began her musical career at the age of 20 and has performed on large stages such as the Liceu, the Palau de la Música or the Palau Sant Jordi.
Hernández has also worked with musicians such as the flamenco guitarist Juan Gómez ‘Chicuelo’ or the rumba group Sabor de Gràcia. The ‘cantaora’ combined her artistic career with teaching and taught singing classes at the Institut Flamenc in Barcelona. The farewell ceremony will take place on Wednesday at the L’Hospitalet de Llobregat funeral home.
