The government published a draft agreement with Belarus on the provision of humanitarian aid to Syria
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed to sign an intergovernmental agreement with Belarus on the provision of humanitarian assistance to Syria, document published on the official portal of legal information.
The draft document, published in the same place, states that it regulates the participation of the Belarusian military contingent in the provision of humanitarian assistance to the republic. “The Belarusian military contingent is involved in carrying out activities exclusively for humanitarian purposes outside the combat zone,” the draft agreement says. It will be located at the locations of the Russian aviation group (located at the Khmeimim air base).
Under the terms of the agreement, Belarus sends up to 200 troops to Syria to participate in humanitarian operations.
