Track motorcyclist Jarno Saarinen the Finnish filming of the drama series Ride Out, which describes life, was sealed at the end of summer 2022. Now there are still filming episodes abroad, as well as post-production. The series will be available for viewing in the spring of 2024.
Jarno from Saari is acting Tom Rejstrom and his Soili spouse Saana Koivisto. The series is written by Sami Keski-Vähälä.

– The shooting period in Finland is now in the can, next spring we will continue abroad.
Many news and entertainment media have highlighted how the series has a hefty budget of 10 million euros. Wondering about the matter amuses Myllyrinnetta, because internationally the amount is quite moderate.
– A German colleague estimated that it would take three times the amount to work on a similar series.
The budget sinks significantly into, for example, staging, costumes and props. The series takes place in the 1970s, so building a believable world requires hard work in addition to money.
– We have scenes set in the GDR, so everyone can think about how to stage it.
Myllyrinne adds that the lion’s share of the budget is also taken by actors – both domestic and international. In addition, there were a total of up to 700 assistants on the sets in Finland. Running the whole roller coaster eats up a lot of money from what sounds like a huge budget.
– I won’t get that money. And let’s say I’m only doing myself a financial loss by doing this. Unfortunately, in Finland, making films and TV series is still pretty much about the love of the genre-
Acquiring assistants turned out to be a surprising challenge, according to Myllyrinne. He tells how all possible mind-blowing people were eventually attracted.
– I myself sat there in the audience for a few days. At least I myself had a great time there.
Descriptions of Imatra
The filming period in Finland was organized at Imatra in the summer of 2022. Although delays, lateness and partial changes of plans are part of the filming of drama series, Myllyrinne says that everything went well during the filming.
– There was supposed to be torrential rain on all days, but not one day. We got out of this like a dog from a dog when we were on the track with motorcycles.
There are still a few foreign shooting episodes planned, possibly taking place in Croatia or other northern European countries.
– Certain places that no longer exist need to be staged. Sure, the Monza circuit exists, but today’s version isn’t quite from the 70s.
It has been great for Myllyrintine herself to work behind the camera in production. Vierimaa bears the biggest responsibility as a producer, but Myllyrinte also has important areas to take care of.
– And this is great anyway. I have followed motor sports, because my father was an active micro car mechanic. He was a very big fan of Saarinen back in the day and was really shocked by his death.
