The BSR has to get on tour quickly

Wild heaps of rubbish still pose major problems for the BSR. A comment from BZ editor Hildburg Bruns Photo: Ralf Lutter/BZ-Montage

Since May, city cleaning has HAD to pick up piles of rubbish from the side of the road and from parks. She gets extra money for this and the law has been changed accordingly.

Anyone can report such places using an app from the public order offices of all twelve districts. Two weeks ago I noticed a shopping cart full to the brim of rubbish two doors down. A resident must have already reported it, I thought to myself – and wrote to the office myself an uneventful week later.

After a few days the shopping cart actually disappeared. He was now standing in front of my driveway! Do I have to write again with a new house number? The number of reports has fallen sharply across the city. I have an idea why.

Maybe it should work better like this: A BSR hand cleaner reports mattresses etc. to the collection service at the end of each shift. From colleague to colleague. And he plans his tours quickly.
