No less than 30 schools could benefit from the new plans of the British authorities

The objective is to put solar panels in different schools to

The BBC has reported in a news item today that The government plans to install solar panels in 30 schools to reduce energy costs as well as carbon emissions. The project would be funded with 1.4 million pounds that would be invested in putting panels in Scunthorpe schools. This will provide renewable energy, North Lincolnshire Council stated.

The first planning applications for solar panels at three schools have been submitted to the council. The scheme has been backed by money from the government’s Cities Fund and community investors. Plans to install panels at Bottesford Junior School, Frederick Gough School and Berkeley Primary School are the first to be submitted to the city council.

Three more schools are also expected to be in the first wave of installations, with work also planned for St Hugh’s School, Holme Valley Primary School and Priory Lane Community School. This is good news for the UK., since each time the speed of this type of plans increases. It is a race against time to stop the climate crisis.
