Poju, by real name Pasi Heinonencaused a stir when he defended a league hockey player who was sentenced to two years for rape in the district court Severi from Lahti.
The artist also referred to the victim in a very low-key way.
Now the man has presented on his Instagram account an apology because of what he said.
– I humbly apologize for my completely vulgar language and my accusations from the rape victim. I made an inferior update without thinking about it, and my language is not acceptable, Poju writes.
Condemns the act
He explains that his reaction was due to disbelief and the fact that Lahtinen was left without support after the criminal conviction.
– Here, however, you have to trust that the Finnish legal system will not lightly convict anyone of rape, there must be strong evidence of that.
– Respecting the court’s decision, I condemn Sever’s act, which at first I did not believe was true. People who know me know that I’m basically on the good side, but also a fallible person who has made mistakes.
Heino has had two gigs canceled as a result of commenting on the rape case. In addition, JYP changed Heinonen’s song that was their goal song.
Lahtinen, who represented JYP, was fired after the verdict became public.
