The former leader of the ultra-supporters of the major Italian football club, Inter, from Milan Vittorio Boiocchi was murdered execution-style near his home on Saturday in the Figino district of Milan.
The police suspect that 69-year-old Boiocchi, an experienced and hardened criminal himself, encountered two people on a motorcycle. One of them is suspected of having shot Boiocchi five times. Three bullets hit the man.
Boiocchi was no longer allowed to attend Inter’s matches. In addition, the underworld man had spent more than 26 years of his life in prison. Judgments had come La Gazzetta dello Sport – magazine, at least for robbery, drug trafficking and kidnapping.
The authorities have begun to investigate the case from the premise that the motive for the murder was related to criminal circles rather than football.

Forced to empty
Boiocchi’s murder started a chain of events that even made Inter angry with their own supporters.
Inter faced Sampdoria in their home match on Saturday, and in the middle of the match Inter’s ultra fans left the stands en masse to honor their former manager.
The event became unpleasant for some of the other supporters and spectators, as ultra supporters are said to have threatened others with violence if they did not leave the stands.
In its press release, Inter said that it condemns forcing the spectators out of the stands. The society says that it condemns violence of all kinds and everywhere.
– We express our solidarity to those fans who were forced to give up what they care about the most, namely their love and passion for Inter. The club works every year to strengthen the security and control of the stadium, Inter said in the press release.
The club also said that it cooperates with the police.
