Became famous as a bodybuilder Matthew Beddow is dead. The matter was reported by several different media sources, such as Plymouth Herald.

Beddow died at the age of 49.

Beddow, who was originally from Plymouth, was found dead in his bed on August 9. Paramedics gave him first aid, but to no avail.

He was pronounced dead at 7:54.

Beddow is especially remembered for the heroic act that happened in 2006. At that time, he saved two women from an attack by a mastiff breed dog.

The attack happened when Kayleigh Thornton was taking care of his friend’s dog Nero. When Thornton’s friend came to visit, Nero attacked the women.

– Nero bit my leg. I was close to passing out from the pain when it sunk its teeth into me, Thornton said at the time For the Telegraph.

Mastiffs can weigh 50 to 100 kilograms. Thornton said he felt the dog tear pieces out of his thigh and arm.

– He started dragging me like a piece of meat and threw me around the ground.

Beddow and another man helped Thornton. Beddow wrestled with Nero the dog for 10 minutes and was able to stop it from biting the women on the neck and face.

Another man got knives from the kitchen and started stabbing the dog with them. After the wrestling match, Beddow took both women to a local hospital for treatment.

– The dog tore part of his leg off, and part of his arm was just hanging off, Beddow commented to the Plymouth Herald at the time.

Thornton said he had seen Nero a few times before, and on those occasions the dog had behaved in a friendly manner.

– I owe Matt my life. If he hadn’t been in it, I would have died. He kept me calm.
