Meeting another skier is not without its problems.

– The atmosphere is quite tense. Imagine meeting someone from another team and then seeing them in training and competitions, says Vermeulen.

When Clugnet first got to participate at the World Cup level in 2018, he was surprised by how smoothly the ski team went.
