Representing Britain James “Jimmy” Clugnet and Austrian Mika Vermeulen will let Skirious– podcast, listeners behind the scenes of the Skiing World Cup.

According to the men, the skiers get along well with each other, even though on the slopes they are each other’s worst enemies. Couples also sometimes form between skiers from different countries. Clugnet is dating, for example, the Czech national team skier himself Kateřina Janatová with.
Meeting another skier is not without its problems.
– The atmosphere is quite tense. Imagine meeting someone from another team and then seeing them in training and competitions, says Vermeulen.
– And if something happens, everyone knows about it within a few hours. All! Clugnet continues.
When Clugnet first got to participate at the World Cup level in 2018, he was surprised by how smoothly the ski team went.
– I was completely shocked. Especially after the Olympics, when the crowd relaxed a bit, everyone slept with everyone. It was absolutely crazy, Clugnet claims.
The 27-year-old Clugnet has been at his best in the World Cup competition, sixth.
Instead, Vermeulen, 24, has even reached the podium once. This season, he finished third in the 15-kilometer freestyle skiing race in Canmore.
