Born in Sweden Ulrika Jonsson56, acted in the 90s in Britain as a presenter in the legendary Gladiators TV series.
Now in Britain, the series is getting a new season, and The Sun magazine decided to ask Jonsson what the action was like behind the scenes of the series in the 90s.
The woman revealed that the muscle bundles that appeared in the series had a little too much fun in each other’s company. The bed sheets became familiar when the blanket swung properly.
– During the filming in Birmingham, we all stayed in a hotel on the same floor. During the first season, there was a lot of jumping from bed to bed. It went so far that the producer and the director gave reprimands for it.
Jonsson also had a year-long romance with Gladiators of James Crossley with. In the series, he was known as “Hunter“.
The woman told about her relationship in her autobiography in 2003.
– I guess I had a crush on James. It was a physical thing. And what a nice man he was, Jonsson revealed in the book.
Although Gladiators was a show for the whole family, its popularity was based a lot on tight costumes and bare skin. It was a problem for Jonsson at first, as she was used to wearing very different clothes as a “weather girl” on a British morning TV show.
– I was forced to wear short jumpers, tight leggings and high-heeled ankle boots. I hated the outfit because I felt exposed and vulnerable, but in those days you couldn’t really speak your mind.
So Jonsson kept his thoughts to himself and humbled himself in front of the camera.
