New markets, more races! The WorldTour of cycling is bloated and packed. Too crowded? UCI and many teams need(d) the new sales markets. The downside: teams have more racing commitments, the ecological footprint is getting bigger, there’s little atmosphere at desert races, and smaller races are having a harder time.
