The best flycatcher is a fungus and it is just up for grabs

About two years ago you almost had to go into the forest with a magnifying glass to look for the fly agaric, because the mushroom was almost impossible to find. The same scenario threatened this year, but now that more rain is falling, the fungus is popping up in many places. “One year it is almost not there, the next year it is abundant”, Rob Chrispijn knows from de Mushroom working group Drenthe. “It is because it has been dry for so long this year, then mushrooms do not show themselves, but now that it is nice and wet they are back, also the red with white dots”.
