The best cider in Finland is Nude Classic Cider. The cider was chosen as the winner among more than 50 ciders in a blind tasting.
The ciders were judged in three categories: real ciders, flavored real ciders and other ciders. Finally, the best cider in Finland was chosen from among the series winners.
– A type example of Finnish cider. This is the benchmark of what “terroir Finnish” is. We don’t want to become French, we are not English, so let’s make clean, fresh and balanced Finnish ciders. The winner is a good, pleasant and versatile cider that is suitable for gastronomic use all year round. The distinctiveness comes from the taste of a Finnish apple and a hint of earthiness, which brings fullness to the cider, the jury characterizes the winner in the press release.
The jury included the founder of SASS Harri Aholacider importer Riku Elovainiocategory manager of brewing products Kasper Kukkoneneditor-in-chief Outi TuomivaaraRestaurant Manager Olli-Matti Turunenrestaurant worker Esa Paloharjurestaurant worker Joni Lommi and a cider enthusiast Jouni Kröger. In the semi-final stage, a journalist joined the jury Mariana Nelimarkka and in the final it was supplemented by a reporter Anikó Lehtinen.
