The best artisan butter croissant in Spain in 2022 is made by the Canal bakery in Barcelona

In the previous edition, Panem won, from Madrid (Fernán González Street, 42), who became the first non-Catalan winner in the history of the contest.

Between 8:00 and 10:00 this morning, the candidates have delivered 12 artisan butter croissants cooked at the Pastry School of the Guild of Barcelona, ​​where the competition was held. Half an hour later, the professional juryin which there were recognized pastry professionals, the tasting and deliberation has begun.

The pastry channelfounded in 1970 by Xavier Canal and currently run by his nephew Lluís Estrada, has already won the contest in 2016 and 2019.
