The Berlin Fashion Summit returns to STATION Berlin together with Premium and Seek

On July 11, 202030 – The Berlin Fashion Summit returns to STATION Berlin with a denim-themed pop-up conference program followed by a 202030 Community Gathering, along with Premium and Seek. In line with the trending theme of the fairs, which puts denim brands in the spotlight, the program of 202030 – The Berlin Fashion Summit will focus on the most innovative changemakers in the denim industry.

The stage program on Tuesday afternoon, July 11, from 3 p.m. to 3 p.m. will include contributions from various speakers. Tony Tonnaer, co-founder of KOI Conscious Consulting, is guest as a thought leader in transforming the denim sector. Marian von Rappard will speak as co-founder and CEO of Dawn Denim, one of the most innovative sustainable denim brands in Berlin, and Annabelle Homann will also speak about sustainable fashion using the example of her family-run company Lanius. Roosmarie Ruigrok represents the political perspective as a representative of The Dutch Denim Deal, as does Tanvir Kabir from the Embassy of Bangladesh in Berlin. Sema Gedik will talk about the power of adaptive and inclusive fashion with her brand Auf Augenhöhe. Thomas Aplas from the CHT Group is also on site as a representative of the chemical industry, without which many innovations in the supply chain would simply not be possible. Through presentations and critical discussions, these best-practice leaders will demonstrate how sustainable denim development works as an example for the entire fashion industry – balancing progressive standards and pragmatic implementation.

Following the conference program, the 202030 – The Berlin Fashion Summit team invites its community to continue conversations and discussions at an informal get-together. On July 12th from 10:30-11:30 a.m., studio MM04, the organizers of 202030 – The Berlin Fashion Summit, will hold the kick-off workshop in a series of workshops entitled “Update EU Textile Strategy” on the upcoming legislation of the EU Textile Strategy . As part of the Conscious Club program of Premium and Seek, studio MM04 starts with “Update EU Textile Strategy: Focus on Green Claims” and provides information on compliance with the new Green Claims Directive to avoid greenwashing. The workshop will also give an overview of the forthcoming EU legislation for the fashion and textile industry as part of the EU textile strategy.

After five editions of 202030 – The Berlin Fashion Summit, which transformed the movement for sustainable fashion into an intensive community experience, the conference will in future take place on an annual basis during Berlin Fashion Week. Between the big conferences, pop-ups are planned in Berlin and other cities. The 202030 podcast will continue to be heard throughout the year.
