Lto beautiful summer by Laura Luchetti, after the preview at Locarno Film Festival, hits theaters today. Luchetti’s second work, freely inspired by the homonymous novel by Cesare Pavese, is set in 1938 in Turin with two teenagers as protagonists, Ginia and Amelia who discover desire and become women.

Turin, 1938. Ginia (Yile Yara Vianello) she has just moved from the countryside to the city with her brother Severino (Nicolas Maupas), and works in a fashion atelier.
