The Beatles would never imitate John Lennon’s voice with AI

After speculation that the Beatles wanted to use an AI to recreate the voice of John Lennon for the upcoming, “last” Beatles song, Ringo Starr explains in an interview with the American ROLLING STONE that the Beatles never do this would.

Ringo Starr on the last Beatles song

Paul McCartney’s announcement that the Beatles would release the final song later this year, the title of which has yet to be confirmed, has fans concerned – because John Lennon’s vocals were extracted from one of his demos using an AI, and nobody knows how it sounds. Now, Starr explained that there would be no AI-generated Lennon on the song. However, who is very likely to appear on it is George Harrison. He recorded parts of the song before his death in 2001:

“It was beautiful and it’s the last song you’ll hear from the four guys. And that’s a fact.”

Starr didn’t want to confirm the official name of the song in the interview, but the known details could mean “Now and Then”. The reason: It’s a Lennon demo that McCartney, Harrison and Starr were working on during the “Antholgy” sessions. Meanwhile, tracks like “Free As A Bird” and “Real Love” also emerged, which also featured vocals from Lennon demos. All three songs were featured on the Beatles’ “Anthology” albums.

On July 7, Starr celebrated his 83rd birthday. In doing so, he continued his longstanding tradition of prompting his fans to say, post, or think the words “peace and love” at 12 p.m. in their time zone. In the interview, Starr revealed that this tradition started with a 2008 interview.

“And I don’t know where that came from, but I thought it would be great if they could say ‘Peace and Love’ at lunchtime, and that’s how it started. We started with 80 people…and now it’s 28 countries.”

And there’s still no end in sight as Ringo Starr, who recently wrapped up his spring tour with his All-Starr band, explained that you never know when it’s going to end. But now it is not the case.
