At the beginning of the fourth season he was kidnapped, tortured and drugged by Rocco Squillace (Paolo Sassanelli), a long-time enemy. Squillace ordered him never to approach either his daughter Marinella (Anna Lucia Pierro) or the Pizzofalcone police station again.
Otherwise, he will kill Marinella as a sign of revenge for having investigated his brother years earlier, who committed suicide in prison. So Lojacono lives invisible, without having contact with his daughter or with the PM Laura Piras (Carolina Crescentini), with whom he has been living in an uncertain relationship for years. They think the inspector is dead, his colleagues, however, know that he is alive.

At the police station the Bastards receive a visit that risks jeopardizing Lojacono’s life, and not only that.
